Mair Williams Solicitors approached me looking for a website that would reflect the professionalism and reputability of their firm, as well as improving their online presence.

Their previous site lacked structured content, a modern design, and the flexibility and ease of use that they needed as content editors.

I designed the website in Figma with two key goals: first, to meet the client’s functional and content requirements; and second, to thoughtfully incorporate their existing brand into a design that aligned with their vision for the site’s look and feel. I placed strong emphasis on user experience, ensuring the layout made information easy to access and helped convert visitors into clients.

I developed a bespoke WordPress theme, with front-end templates built to match the Figma designs pixel-perfectly. The backend is fully customised using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) to deliver a seamless, intuitive editing experience. I also implemented custom post types for services and careers, along with custom Gutenberg blocks to enable rich, flexible content editing.

Being a solicitors firm based in Wales, it was very important for the client to have multilingual support, in order to appeal to a broader audience. I implemented this with the help of the PolyLang plugin, and extended the plugin to work seamlessly with ACF, as well as creating a custom language switcher which matched the design of the website.

We also ensured the website met Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) compliance standards, including proper display of required information and integration of the official SRA digital badge for client trust and verification.
